ABOUT MY ART
I have always been drawn to visual art from an early age.
I studied art in high school which led me to develop further as an artist.
I am mainly self taught but have had major influences inspired by other artists, plein air painting in the landscape, people,
galleries, and amazing collections of art in all its varied forms.
My work reflects landscapes and subjects painted from a traditional style to contemporary or even abstract form.
I paint what I feel the subject requires and what I would like to portray or say in a painted work.
I first exhibited my work in the late 1980ís and held my first solo exhibition in 1991 in Warragul Victoria and have since held solo exhibitions, in Alice Springs in 1997 and 1998, and Maclean, northern NSW in 2013.
I have also exhibited with numerous group exhibitions over many years and generally exhibit my work each year in local arts events.
My work is represented in mainly private collections throughout Australia and worldwide, including Japan, USA, England, Europe, and has also been acquired in regional and corporate collections including Ambassador Hotels Australia, Araluen Galleries, Alice Springs, NT, and Grafton Regional Gallery, Grafton, NSW
